Program purpose
The MoHA Holiday Show is an annual celebration of community and performance! This beloved tradition is a fun, campy, and welcoming event for joy among our community and their chosen families.
Building on historical East Austin traditions, since 2013, MoHA’s holiday show is an annual act of belonging. Past holiday show highlights have brought unforgettable experiences like 100 lbs of mashed potatoes, a crowd-surfing Scrooge, Edward Normalhands, a foam party on the deck of the Titanic, Hans Gruber crowd-surfing to his death and so much more. MoHA’s Holiday Show is a can’t-miss experience.
As James Scott wrote in the Austin Chronicle, the holiday show is “...December’s most anticipated avant-garde theatre project to descend upon the un-heated, un-airconditioned interior of that warehouse we all love.”
Volunteer shifts to help put on the Holiday Show are made available at the end of the year on MoHA's volunteer sign up form.
