Come visit The Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA) this Austin Studio Tour (AST)! We’ll have performances, visual artwork, vendors, meet-the-artists, and celebrations throughout both weekends of AST (Nov 8-9 and Nov 15-16). You can also join in on the festivities by signing up for a volunteer shift or two.

MoHA Studio Artist Pop-Up Show

Visit the MoHA Gallery to see work by and meet a handful of MoHA’s studio member artists. MoHA staff and volunteers will also be running a compliment booth! Come learn about our programs and get a compliment.
Vendor Market

For this year's Austin Studio Tour, The Mall will be hosting a vendor market in the parking lot area in front of MoHA for both weekends. Weekend 1 will focus on a repair fair theme and Weekend 2 we’ll see some familiar and new faces.

Come get your clothes repaired, shop for art, learn about solar panels, and check out vintage threads from a variety of local vendors!

Andreas Haglund's Pop UP Performance of Feral Fantasies

CopenhAustin resident artist Andreas Haglund, from Denmark, will perform a portion of their solo choreographic piece, Feral Fantasies, during the Austin Studio Tour at The Museum of Human Achievement. The solos dance piece asks: How can the perceived monstrosity of queerness be used as a tool towards a more complex understanding of nature?
Cage Match Project, Round XXV Opening Reception: A Body Without Organs

Presented by Cage Match Project

From Managua, Nicaragua, Javier Robelo uses sculpture and performance to explore queer feeling through play, touch, and collaboration. Using paper-mâché, fabric, and tape, he creates forms that blur the line between body and object, inviting participation and connection. Round 25: A Body Without Organs reimagines the cage as a living, shifting body animated by wind, sunlight, and movement. Through acts of tying, touching, and unmaking, Robelo celebrates the liveliness of materials and the fluid nature of being.
Govalle Cultural District Proclamation Ceremony

Come celebrate the official city and state designation of the Govalle Cultural District at The Museum of Human Achievement on Sunday November 16th at noon! Brief remarks by community stakeholders, Texas Commission on the Arts as well as snacks and drinks. Stay for a tour of MoHA and the Canopy complex as part of the final day of the Austin Studio tour.
