In 2015, Austin became the first—and remains the only—U.S. city to earn the prestigious “Creative City of Media Arts” designation from UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). On the tenth anniversary of this designation, hear about Austin’s media arts ecosystem from artists, organizers, and governmental partners, and how the UNESCO Creative City Network connects us with other cities around the world making significant contributions in media arts.
