IRL and Welcome to my Homepage present the IRL exhibition Sorry about the mess but we live here by Claire Lachow.
Project Description
Deceptively cheerful and homey in affect with their typically rustic wood/twine construction and curlicue handwritten script, the passive-aggressive decorative signs that appear in many suburban American homes communicate the otherwise unspoken anxieties and resentments of their owner (usually/presumably a woman tasked with maintaining the domestic space).
