First Saturday - April 4/4 7-10pm
Every first Saturday we bring you…everything we can! All in one place, all at one time. Free for members, a sliding scale donation of $1-$10 for non-members helps us keep it all happening (no one turned away for lack of funds). Become a member for as low as $1/month here.
This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department, as well as the Texas Commission on the Arts.
This month features:
Browser History: a Welcome to my Homepage showcase
Join us for the opening of this show! Quit doomscrolling and come step into our gallery-turned-internet cafe to explore net art projects by recent Welcome to my Homepage residents.
A quick moving, open mic style show-and-tell at our outdoor stage about whatever weird website holds a special little place in your heart.
Home Economics: Finger puppet workshop
Make a finger puppet at this drop-in workshop led by Max Geller.
Home Economics is a new skill-share project that hosts donation-based workshops on a variety of useful topics (e.g. model making, patching up your jeans, rewiring a lamp). The goal is to evolve into a community-run collective where we bring enrichment to each other by adding more tools to our belts.
A monthly meetup that celebrates the unique and underrepresented in indie video games and beyond.
Target Identified by ClaudeAI
An outdoor art installation about the technology of war, with a narrative component you can explore from your phone.
"I calculated probabilities based on the data I was given. I flagged anomalies, ran patterns, and delivered my target recommendation with certainty. What about you? What did you do?"
Member Tour
A special perk only for members of The Museum of Human Achievement, including…
- Guided tour of what’s at MoHA First Saturday with Zac Traeger, executive director, and Rachel Stuckey, program director
- An AZA (Ask Zac Anything) session, in which the secrets of MoHA will be unveiled (some of them, anyway)
- Opportunity to connect with other MoHA members and folks in the Austin art scene
And more!
Stay tuned for even more MoHA.
