East Austin Ghost is a community processional, centered on the Displaced East Austin Community, it is scheduled for Sunset on the Summer Solstice June 20th, 2024. The procession begins at 8:30pm.

The processional will premiere a new interactive instrument - in addition to printed lantern sculptures created through outreach with the community.

The event is a community powered activity and welcomes public participation and engagement.

Join Us June 20th, 2024 at 8:15pm for a Summer Solstice Sunset processional - through the Central East Austin neighborhood. We will meet on the grounds of Pan Am park on East 3rd st (near the amphitheater), and walk through the neighborhood streets (with an APD traffic escort) to Lady Bird Lake and the MACC.

Participants are welcome to carry a screen printed, paper lantern - provided at the beginning of the processional (first come first served) , and explore the interactive processional instrument with others.

Families and all ages are welcome.
