The Hatch is in town to do a live set of their intensely and extreme duo work for Sonic Transmissions festival at Radio Milk Recording Company (2300 Coronado St) on June 13th. On their second day in Austin they are joining forces with local improvisers for an Astral Spirits live recording session and concert at MOHA. The Hatch Expansion consists of the French guitarist Jules Verne and Danish, Trondheim based saxophone player Mette Rasmussen, aside for Sarah Ann Philips on piano, Henna Chao on cello, Lisa Cameron on drums, Carl Smith on bass clarinet, Joshua Tompson on alto saxophone, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten on bass and Dylan Cameron on modulars.
