Sing with Me! An interactive vocal workshop (with Jenny Parrott) 2018

From MoHA Wiki

THE OPPOSITE OF FORECASTING is a day of concerts combining music created using weather data and improvising musicians responding to the weather. For the last few months, a weather station has been collecting data at the Museum of Human Achievement. The data was processed in real time to create a musical piece that represents the current weather conditions. The weather soundtrack can be heard 24/7 at weather.lownote.net (http://weather.lownote.net/) .

On June 3^rd, trios of performers will be performing alongside the data sonification. They will be improvising to text prompts that will focus their attention on specific aspects of the weather as well as interpreting weather data charts. These performers will include Steve Parker, Henna Chou, Alan Retamozo, Seetha Shivaswamy, Tiago da Silva, Laura Dykes, Sarah Brown, Chris Demetriou, and Spencer Johnson.

Before, during, and after performances, the audience will be able to hang out outside, enjoy the weather, snacks, and appreciate beer provided by 4th Tap Brewing Co-Op.
