Milton Hime, FAIA, is the founding Principal of Studio8’s Austin and San Antonio offices, bringing with him over 38 years of community-driven experience to the Central Texas and San Antonio Regions. He has spearheaded the design and direction of various projects, ranging from corporate campuses to healthcare facilities, demonstrating his versatile expertise. Milton’s involvement in every aspect of the firm, coupled with his uncanny attention to detail, has not only earned him community recognition but also fostered robust client relationships throughout the Austin and San Antonio areas.
As a true philanthropist, Milton has positioned Studio8 as an essential community partner that uses architecture as a platform to realize meaningful change in people’s lives. From Central Texas Food Bank to Mobile Loaves and Fishes, to ACC’s historic Rio Grande Campus with Army Futures, his efforts have helped address a wide range of economic hurdles, including food insecurity, homelessness, health care inequities, education, unemployment, child development, and social justice.
Milton actively participates in professional affiliations including the Texas Society of Architects, Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Architects and also serves on various boards and board committees for People’s Community Clinic, Manos de Cristo, Explore Austin, and Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA). Milton’s notable projects include the People’s Community Clinic, Central Texas Food Bank, and YMCA of Austin reflecting his commitment to excellence and community.
