A PSYCHEDELIC CARTOON SERIES

CURATED BY BRADFORD KINNEY
7:30PM / $5

I f psychedelic culture is often thought to revolve around the altered perception caused by drugs or ideas, it has usually expressed itself in the celebration of alternate realities: alternative lifestyles, the dream-state, and fictional universes.

The following selections focus on the fictional universes made possible at the intersection of art and technology as expressed in (mostly) 21st century anime. With an increasing boldness, they explore the possibility of using technology to not just alter reality but to leave it behind entirely. This edition of Dripping Dreams is co-curated by Connor Shea, who will be providing interstitial explanations. As usual, guests will enjoy a psychedelic animation station and other amusements for the eyes, ears, and mind.
