About

Community Abundance Programs are programs with a focus on community. MoHA's Community Abundance Programs include Potlucks, Grant Writing Workshops, and Fiscal Sponsorships.

Programs

Affordable Space

Affordable Space Programs are programs that provide affordable rentable/reservable physical space at MoHA for producing and/or presenting creative or community work. These programs prioritize providing resources to individuals and organizations that have historically lacked access to institutional resources.

Fellowship

MoHA's Fellowship program is a paid professional development opportunity for students to gain work experience in their expressed interest in the categories: grant writing, event production, arts administration, or digital arts at a non-profit arts organization.

Fiscal Sponsorship

The Museum of Human Achievement acts as Fiscal Sponsor for many artists and informal organizations to apply for and manage grant funding as well as donations. Fiscal sponsorship is a legal structure and tax mechanism to umbrella individuals and informal groups, events, or programs under the non-profit status of a 501c3 organization. This can help with eligibility for certain grants as well as reduce tax liability when receiving grant funds.

Grant Writing Hangouts

Grant Writing Hangouts are facilitated co-working time where MoHA staff, artists, community organizers, and grant writers share space, eat snacks, and work together on applications for grant funding.

Potluck

Potluck is an intentional, uninterrupted place for people to socialize and connect.

Present an Event

Want to use MoHA to organize an event? Cool! We've hosted a lot of organizations and programs. We also occasionally let folks rent the space for things like film shoots or weddings, depending on the need. Please start by filling out this form

Fiscal Sponsorship

Curious about fiscal sponsorship? Or just want more info on how we help artists and community members navigate resources? We recommend signing up for Office Hours with Shannon Stott or Zac Traeger as well as saying hello onDiscord and signing up for our Newsletter and making sure to select "Community Building - Potluck, Organizer Events".
