AFTER THE PERFORMANCES, STAY FOR THE WORLD PREMIERE OF.....ABODE SOLO

A shot by shot remake of the 1990 holiday classic HOME ALONE

Kari Houghtaling, 25, and Liz Smith, 26, directed, produced, and acted in a full-length remake of the 1990 holiday classic Home Alone, and play nearly every character themselves.

Aside from cameos by Smith's parents and a friend at the Milwaukee International Airport, the two alone play every character from the original movie. Using strategic camera angels and costume changes the pair was able to re-construct the film almost in its entirety.

The duo filmed on location in Guttenberg, Iowa during the Polar Vortex of 2014, the coldest weekend on record for the year. They used an old digital camera for recording and have been editing the footage in iMovie for most of this year. The frigid temperatures made it difficult to keep the 2007 Cannon Powershot running for outdoor scenes.

The movie would have been impossible without the help of the generous small town Iowa community. Several local businesses and a local church allowed the actresses to use their location for filming. The Guttenberg Police Department even provided a squad car with flashing lights for the Wet Bandits' arrest at the finale of the movie. The title of the remake, Adobe Solo, was devised using synonyms for the original inspiration, Home Alone.

Tickets are limited to 100 for this extra special night, purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.
