Purpose

MoHA is happy to host you and your event! The Social Media Handbook is a guide for how MoHA and organizers interact with one another on social media. Please note: this guide is only for organizers presenting an event at MoHA.

Instagram

What to Expect from MoHA's Instagram

MoHA does:

  • Use standardized branding guidelines to make internal posts for consistency.
    • Always add alt text to posts.
  • Collab or shared posts are at our discretion and availability. Tag us and send us an email to review at eriane@themuseumofhumanachievement.com
    • Collab posts are reviewed before being accepted. We may reach out if changes need to be made before we can accept.
  • Only tag MoHA Family Instagram accounts in posts and community partners, venues, and sponsors where applicable.
  • Direct Instagram audiences to our Wiki for more information about events, purchasing tickets, etc.
  • May occasionally make posts about events at MoHA. Audiences should use the Wiki as the main source of truth for events at MoHA


MoHA doesn't:

  • Create content for posts.
  • Post on behalf of event organizers.
  • Create or accept collab posts unless coordinated in advance, off-platform, via email.
  • Make any promises about interacting with content.
  • Field direct messages (DMs) to our Instagram accounts.

How to Engage with MoHA's Instagram

MoHA invites you to interact with MoHA’s Instagram through any of the following:

  • Tagging relevant MoHA Instagram accounts in your posts/stories.
  • Adding MoHA as the location in your post/stories.
  • Directing your social media audience to our Wiki.
  • Following our Style Guide to name us appropriately:
