|Event description=Sequence is a soundsystem collective based here in Austin, organized by sound engineer and DJ Lucía Beyond. Our goal is to create great sounding dancefloors and environments in which music lovers and dancers from all walks of life can come together and share in the beauty of sound. 

We’re very excited to host our first event at the Museum of Human Achievement on September 21st, where we’ll be transforming the main warehouse into a club space. 4 DJs will play on our system from 4:00pm to 10:00pm and we’ll have tabling from our friends at HAAM and a small vendor market!

“Play rough, play soft, play by yourself, play with others.” Sequence 1: Play is the first episode of our series, and is a reflection on playfulness as a form of connection and communication.

The Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) works to provide healthcare assistance and resources to local Austin musicians (and DJs!). They’ll have a representative on site to help explain their services, get people info on how to enroll, and hand out free stuff!

Sequence is created and run by trans people of color, and we strive to center, highlight, and create joy for people of marginalized experiences.
