After over a decade of highly lauded experimental output Smokey Emery (aka Austin-based sound & visual artist Daniel Hipolito) has finally made his vinyl debut with his QUARTZ EP, released in Dec 2012 by Indian Queen Records. Finally, Smokey Emery's dusty maestro-ing of vintage reel-to-reels and submerged mercurial symphonies has been been captured on the vinyl format. Thousand Foot Whale Claw will join in on the release show celebration, bringing their patented wall-of-sound psychosis (now with drums), and fresh off a tour from the West Coast. Silent Land Time Machine will open the evening in a rare Austin appearance, starting things off with lachrymose layers of viola and sound experimentation. Doors at 8 / Music at 9
