FUTURE FRONT X THE MALL

To celebrate our collaboration with The Mall, multidisciplinary artist Tumi Adeleye is going to show you how to turn fabric scraps and textures into collage art. Tickets for this workshop are $10 and every cent will benefit community initiatives we care about.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS WORKSHOP

This workshop will explore reusing fabrics to create textured and patterned artwork.

Expect to make at least one friend, collage and get your hands sticky!

Tumi Adeleye (she/her) is photographer and visual storyteller whose work explores the complexities of the cultures she grew up in from the perspective of a black woman living in America. Her work highlights the nostalgia of growing up in Brooklyn in the late 1990s and early 2000s and is equally inspired by her rich African culture. Piecing together the puzzle of life, she sheds light on topics such as black beauty, mental health, love, emotions and more. Her goal is to connect people to stories and imagery that are often under-appreciated, unrecognized, and forgotten.
