Associated Program | Grant Writing Hangouts |
MoHA is hosting a series of grant application assistance hangouts for “Nexus” a new city of Austin funding program. The awards are up to $5k for individual artists or creative businesses. Individuals, non-profits and creative businesses are eligible to apply for it. Here is the full program description.
The money can be used for exhibitions, performances, workshops, classes, and public art. To be eligible for funding you must have 1 year of operating history in the Austin MSA and 51% or more of your creative production must happen within the Austin ETJ. We’re hosting 6 hangouts at MoHA to help with applications.
These hangouts are free and we’re going to break up the application into parts and have people around to help. You can come to one or all of them. All are welcome, however we are specifically interested in helping individuals, small organizations, informal collectives and those have historically lacked access to institutional resources.
The schedule is as follows:
- Sat - 7/29 - 10am- 1pm
- Tue - 8/1- 6pm - 9pm
- Sat - 8/5 - 10am- 1pm
- Tue - 8/8 - 6pm - 9pm
- Sat - 8/12 - 10am- 1pm
