Calculated Carelessness is an installation art piece conceived by Austin multi-instrumentalist Lauren Gurgiolo (Okkervil River, Dialtones). The piece incorporates music, interactive sculpture and projection to transform one's perception of space within a dynamically immersive environment.
The project is inspired by Soren Kierkegaard’s work, The Seducers Diary. What originally began as a collection of songs written by Gurgiolo for her group the Dialtones, has since grown into a full blown inter-media project bringing together creative minds from architecture, design, music, sculpture, and animation.
