Mongoose is a performance ensemble that uses John Zorn's Cobra rules to weave a tapestry of improvised music, spoken texts, and movement. With the drop of a card, what was once a serene musical landscape can explode into something completely different. It's an unprecedented musical experience and a visual feast!
Bassist/composer CJ Boyd uses bass, voice, and loops in order to try and stop time. Oceans of sound become naked, lonely melodies become something not yet determined.
