About the band: Based in Austin, TX, the Octopus Project has been making records and touring the world since 2002. Since then the group's music, multimedia work and visual art-making has found them using handmade toys as a format to release songs, traveling as handpicked support for artists as diverse as DEVO and Aesop Rock, devising unique performance situations in settings from history museums to circus tents, and composing for film, television and video games. Their newest album, Memory Mirror, is out now on the band's own Robot High School Label.
