Selfies! More than narcissistic ramblings, the selfie is an important means to legacy, an ongoing experimentation with identity, and a weird, messy conversation with an idealized self image. Come take a good, hard look at yourself in this workshop that turns the whole world into one big mirror.
Andie Flores is a writer, performer, comedian, and visual + performance artist based in Austin, Texas. Currently, she’s one of MASS Gallery’s Summer 2019 Hotbox artists-in-residence and a PhD student in Latinx video and performance art in The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Mexican American Latina/o Studies. Her work has appeared in fields magazine and in exhibitions and live shows all around Texas.
