Welcome to the Collaborative Arts + Technology Situation (CATS+)! We are happy to have you join our program (physically, virtually, etc) and excited to see your project(s) evolve! This page will be your guide during your residency time. There is a Discord server for The Museum of Human Achievement, which serves as a virtual community for CATS+ and Welcome to my Homepage residents, alumni, MoHA studio members, and digital artists from far and wide. Rachel will send you an invite, and can give you a virtual tour.

Once you login, feel free to introduce yourself however you’d like. We encourage artists to participate in the community and post occasional updates.

===Studio Space===
The IRL Studio space is available upon request. It is a shared space, so we'll do our best to accommodate everyone's needs and schedules. The studio is equipped with a pc, desk, lights, chairs and a fan. Please let us know if you might have different needs and we’ll try to provide them.

Rachel will send you the wifi password. The network closest to the IRL Studio is "MOHA-5G"

 ==How to get around and what to see==

For parking purposes, there’s a bicycle area right in front of the entrance door. If you’re driving a car you can park it on the cemented area. Parking does get crazy during events, the only rule here is to be mindful of others and don’t block anybody’s vehicle or exits.

==Expectations==
The UP residency is tailored to artists of varying media and practices. We are especially keen on artists who have a socially collaborative and/or new media art practice. 

As part of your residency, we expect a public project that can consist of any type of creative pursuit that you find compelling. A group or solo exhibition or performance is readily an option at UP at the end of the residency although not necessarily required. Resident artists are asked to donate one piece to UPs ongoing collection; we hope to have a large retrospective show once we get really old. 

===Extra Hands===
As a part of a community run center for artists, MoHA artists and members sometimes are asked to take part in the creation and maintenance of its facilities and programming. We are frequently renovating our building – a process that would be impossible without our dedicated network of volunteers.  A constantly changing physical and social environment, MoHA is always a work-in-progress, and there are many opportunities to leave one’s mark.

The MoHA building is an active environment of working artists and we’ve found the most successful residents are those who enjoy social engagement and visits but also feel comfortable shutting the door to focus.

There are some railroad tracks located directly behind the building. It seldom passes by, but when it does it is (for better or worse) usually late at night.
